Season Details
The 2026 GTE Championship begins on August 3rd!
Details:
- Setups: Setups will be open with fixed fuel limits to ensure at least one pit stop.
- Schedule: The schedule is below, with intentional overlap with recent or upcoming officials where possible.
- Drop Races: Core to the GPT design is recognizing sim racing is a hobby that must fit in with other life priorities. As such, there will be TWO drop races in this season.
- Starts: Races will use rolling starts. All drivers go on green flag.
- Qualifying: Races will feature 3 lap lone qualifying.
- Major Championships: As always, the GPT schedule features two events on the calendar designated as Majors. These races are longer (60 minutes instead of 45) and will feature more difficult tracks/conditions but reward drivers with more points!
- Car Selection: Drivers will be locked in to their car selection after the first race until the end of the first major, at which point drivers can change cars. Any car change during the season is an automatic 10-second penalty in that race.
